Halfway through October and still on schedule (kinda) š¤£
It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
Donāt worry about sounding professional. Sound like you. There are over 1.5 billion websites out there, but your story is whatās going to separate this one from the rest. If you read the words back and donāt hear your own voice in your head, thatās a good sign you still have more work to do.
Be clear, be confident and donāt overthink it. The beauty of your story is that itās going to continue to evolve and your site can evolve with it. Your goal should be to make it feel right for right now. Later will take care of itself. It always does.

š 1 Year Married: A Reminder to Actually Rest
Last month, Vinny and I spent our first wedding anniversary in Okinawa, and it was the perfect mix of sunshine, ocean air, and soft moments together.
But somewhere between the beach walks and cafĆ© hopping, I realized⦠I was still trying to squeeze in work and answering emails before breakfast, tweaking client projects after dinner. It hit me how much Iāve been carrying the āalways onā energy even in my supposed rest seasons.
This trip reminded me that rest is part of the work. That stepping away doesnāt mean falling behind. And that I built this business for freedom, not exhaustion.
I put together a little anniversary reel that captures some of our favorite memories from Okinawa.
Watch it Here š
š Traveling Within Taiwan
The first two weekends of the month, Vinny and I stayed a little closer to home, exploring Hualien and Pingtung for indigenous belt wrestling events.
Hualien (Oct 3ā5): Vinny joined an indigenous belt wrestling seminar where he even shared Mongolian wrestling techniques with the community. It was such a beautiful cultural exchange. It was so wonderful to see there are other people who geek out on this sort of stuff with Vinny ANDDDDD I was able to make some English-speaking friends.
Mudan, Pingtung (Oct 11): We attended a friendly competition between Paiwan and Rukai, two indigenous groups, just as spectators this time. It was to watch from the sidelines however it was a bit hot without seating areas so we didnāt stay for long. Afterward, we slipped away to a local hot spring for some relaxation time, which is exactly what we both needed.
Iāve been managing some stress-related health stuff lately, and honestly, God blessed me with the most thoughtful man. Vinny planned the trip because he knew how much I needed to slow down, breathe, and just be. It was simple, healing, and full of gratitude.
š§āāļø Current Obsession: Wylde Flowers
The Obsession is So REAL
Vinny and I went to 7-11 at 11pm and I played while he responded to friends messages LOL
Okay, confession time. Iāve fallen deep into cozy-game land again. Iāve logged almost 80 hours into Wylde Flowers and just finished the first year and main story .
Itās honestly one of the cutest, most comforting games Iāve played in a while, kind of like Stardew Valley or Story of Seasons but with witchy vibes on a charming little East Coast island. Now that Iāve wrapped up the main story, Iām diving into all the side quests. And because I clearly canāt get enough, I found out the devs are working on a spin-off called Wylde Society which Iām already way too excited for hehe.
Playing this game reminded me how much I value slowing down, being intentional, and letting small joys refill my creative cup. Sometimes the most magical ideas come when you stop trying to be productive and just play.
š„ In Case You Missed It, I released The Archives: Episode 1
After sitting on footage for nearly two years, I finally launched my new vlog series: The Archives, starting with my chaotic 24+ hour journey back to Taiwan in 2022.
Will be dropping Episode 2 very soon!
š» Business in Bloom
Lately, Iāve been deep in what Iām calling my business evolution season.
Iāve outgrown the āregular-degular VAā identity. That chapter taught me so much, but itās time for something fuller.
Remember in my last newsletter when I talked about creating better boundaries? That work is still ongoing, but the next layer of it is giving myself permission to be more creative. To let my artistry and intuition lead just as much as my systems brain does.
Iāve been using ChatGPT (yes, literally prompting myself) to get clearer about:
What I want my business to feel like
The services I truly want to offer
How I want to express myself across my website, social media, and YouTube
Because itās so easy to build and strategize for everyone else ā but when itās your own vision, it hits different. If you want the prompts ChatGPT gave, hit REPLY and Iāll send it to ya!
And last week, mid-conversation with ChatGPT, it dropped one word that instantly sparked something in me. Like when you have a word on the tip of your tongue, thatās how close I feel to everything clicking.
No rush, no forced timelines⦠but something tells me by the end of October or early November, things will click into place effortlessly.
